Horse Creek Academy is proud to announce that Horse Creek Media has been honored with a prestigious award at the South Carolina Scholastic Press Association Spring Conference, held at the University of South Carolina's School of Journalism and Mass Communications. The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, April 1, 2024.

The SC Scholastic Press Association (SCSPA) recognized the Horse Creek Media team for producing the best broadcast in the state! The award acknowledges the program's excellence in broadcasting and its commitment to journalistic integrity and professionalism.

As part of the evaluation process, Horse Creek Academy submitted two links to two of their shows for assessment by the SCSPA judges. The quality of content, production value, and overall presentation were key factors considered during the evaluation process. Horse Creek Academy's submission stood out among its peers, demonstrating the program's dedication to delivering outstanding broadcasts.

Horse Creek Media, led by award-winning advisor AJ Chambers, provides students with hands-on experience in all aspects of broadcasting, including reporting, producing, editing, and on-air performance. Student journalists Nox Bradford, Eryn Fox, Kurt Simmons, and Jack Wilhoit were present to accept the award
